The latest group of heifers from the Farmer’s Connection project has been sold. These top quality heifers are going to a modern dairy facility in Turkey, to help advance breeding programs and the dairy industry in that country. The net proceeds from the sale of these animals are being used towards the establishment of an agricultural education center at AAMOM in Liberia. So-we have heifers donated and raised in Rockingham County Virginia, sold to Turkey to improve that country’s dairy industry, and in turn the proceeds will help to further agriculture and a future for children in Liberia. Just goes to show that many hands make a light load, or one fish really can feed 5000!
